THE BRIEF D&AD New Blood challenged us to make HSBC own Pantone 1795C globally.

THE INSIGHT In a world where every bank uses red, HSBC can’t own it by simply showing it more.

THE IDEA We turn HSBC’s red into the 1795C Red Bond: a financial instrument that lets the public invest in HSBC’s colour and fund overlooked startups and charities. As investment grows, red spreads across projects and markets, proving ownership not by visibility, but by what red does.
