Moon’s Pull & Tide’s Rise

A Riso-printed publication on the movements of the ocean

Riso Zine, Print Design, Photography, 2024

It began with walks along the coast, photographing foam trails, surface textures, and tidal marks. Using Photoshop’s Magic Wand tool, I extracted patterns from these images to build layered compositions. The result is a series of Risograph posters — imprints of ebb and flow, balancing chance and control.

The zine brings together these abstractions with photographs from the seaside, alongside my own written reflections — capturing a personal and collective relationship to place, movement, and time.

These imprints of ebb and flow — drawn from patterns extracted from photographs — have shaped the design of the zine
